## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2024, AROUND 12:30PM, THE DRONE PILOT WAS PERFORMING HIS JOB DUTIES AS A CLAIM'S INSPECTOR ON A HOUSE IN SONORA TX. WHILE FLYING HIS DRONE AROUND THE HOME TO TAKE PICTURES, THE DRONE STUCK A TREE LIMB WHICH BROKE THE DRONE PROPELLERS AND CAUSED THE LIMB/DEBRIS TO FALL ON THE HOOD OF A TRUCK THAT WAS PARKED UNDER THE TREE. THE DRONE CRASHED IN THE NEARBY DRIVEWAY AND DID NOT IMPACT THE TRUCK. THE DRONE PILOT STATED THAT THE INCIDENT OCCURRED DUE TO A SENSOR MALFUNCTION ON THE DRONE. THE DRONE PILOT THEN CLEANED UP THE MESS AND NOTIFIED HIS COMPANY AND THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE.

DRONE REGISTRATION NUMBER IS: FA34H3ACWR

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
