## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 09/20/2024 AT 2354Z (1554L), A ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^(LYC) FLIGHT DEPARTED ANCHORAGE TED STEVENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (PANC), FOR MCGRATH AIRPORT(PAMC) ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN.

DURING THE ENROUTE PHASE THE FLIGHT CREW EXPERIENCED LOSS OF FO MFD AND PFD AND A #3 GENERATOR BEARING FAIL LIGHT ILLUMINATED.

THE CREW INITIATED THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN CHECKLIST PER THEIR QRH, AND INADVERTENTLY SHUT DOWN THE WRONG ENGINE. THE FLIGHT CREW WAS FORCED TO INTIATE A DESCENDING RIGHT TURN BACK TO ANCHORAGE AWAY FROM HIGH TERRAIN TO THEIR LEFT (MOUNT DENALI AT 20,310 FT) AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. ENGINE RESTART WAS SUCCESSFUL, AND THE CORRECT FAILED ENGINE WAS THEN SECURED.

THE FLIGHT RETURNED TO ANCHORAGE WHERE THE LANDING WAS OTHERWISE UNEVENTFUL

ON 07/24/24 AN INVESTIGATION COMMENCED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
