## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED HE WAS DOING AN ENGINE RUN-UP AND STARTED TO TAXI DOWN THE RUNWAY. HE WAS NOT INTENDING TO FLY.

THE PILOT STATED THAT THE BUMPY TERRAIN EXPERIENCED DURING HIS TAXI CAUSED THE ELEVATOR TO BECOME STUCK IN THE UP POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE LEFT WHERE IT STRUCK A VERTICAL RAILROAD TIE IN THE GROUND. THIS RESULTED IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES DURING THE INCIDENT.

THIS REPORT MAY BE AMENDED PENDING NTSB FINDINGS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
