## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE STUDENT PILOT WHILE ATTEMPTING A TOUCH AND G0, MOVED THE LANDING GEAR LEVER TO THE UP POSITION BELIEVING HE WAS RETRACTING THE FLAPS. THE INSTRUCTOR REALIZING THE MISTAKE PUT THE GEAR LEVER IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE RIGHT MAIN HAD ALREADY COLLAPSED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO DRIFT OFF THE RUNWAY. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR. THE PILOTS AND PASSENGER DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURIES.

AIRCRAFT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO HAVE PROPER AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATION AND CURRENT INSPECTION STATUS. PILOT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO HAVE THE CORRECT CERTIFICATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
