## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT DURING THE LANDING THE NOSE WHEEL STARTED TO SHIMMY AGGRESSIVELY. THE PILOT APPLIED BACK PRESSURE TO THE AIRCRAFT TO TAKE THE WEIGHT OFF THE NOSE WHEEL. UPON SLOWING DOWN TO EXIT THE RUNWAY THE NOSE WHEEL COLLAPSED. AFTER INSPECTION IT WAS FOUND THE SHIMMY DAMPER BOLT HAD BEEN INSTALLED INCORRECTLY AND THAT CAUSE THE NOSE TO SHAKE ENOUGH TO BREAK THE LANDING GEAR BRACKET. THE AIRCRAFT SLID ON THE NOSE GEAR DOORS AND SCUFFED THE PAINT AND SOME COMPOSITE MATERIAL. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE DAMAGE WAS MINOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
