## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS ON A DAY VFR FLIGHT DISPENSING AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS. AFTER RETURNING FROM THE THIRD AGRICULTURAL CHEMICAL LOAD. THE PILOT STATED THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER AND THE AIRCRAFT DESCENDED INTO THE TREES. THE PILOT ALSO STATED HE DID NOT RECALL FUELING THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE THE START OF THE THIRD LOAD. THERE WAS AN AUTO ACCIDENT ON INTERSTATE 40 NEXT TO THE RUNWAY THAT DISTRACTED THE PILOT DURING THE AIRCRAFT SERVICE TURN AROUND.

THE FUEL TANK COVER WAS REMOVED AND THERE WAS NO LIQUID FUEL IN THE TANK. THE FUEL TANK WAS INTACT AND NOT HAD BEEN BREECHED. THE GASCALATOR CONTAINED ONLY ABOUT 4 OUNCES OF BLUE FUEL AND WAS CLEAR AND BRIGHT. NO FUEL SMELL OR STAINS OUTSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA370](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA370), Sep 26, 2024: Piper PA-25-235 (N6548Z), Muskogee, OK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inattention to refueling during turn-around operations which resulted in a loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion.

## Other reports on N6548Z (1)
