## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2024, PIPER PA28-235 WAS INBOUND TO KOKB AND MADE AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING DUE TO REPORTED ENGINE FAILURE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON STATE ROUTE 76 & AND CANYON ROAD IN OCEANSIDE, CA. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

OCEANSIDE PD SGT LATER ADVISED, AS THE CFI AND STUDENT WERE EXITING THE ACFT, ONE OF THEM TRIED TO THROW A VACUUM SEALED BAG AWAY FROM THE ACFT. LEO ON SCENE IDENTIFIED AS SUSPECTED ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^. IF ANY ADDITIONAL FACTS BECOME KNOWN THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
