## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES INTO THE FLIGHT, THE PILOT REPORTED TO GET FLUCTUATIONS ON THE OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR, THE PRESSURE WOULD INTERMITTENTLY GO TO ZERO THEN RETURN TO NORMAL. THEY CROSS-CHECKED THE OIL TEMPERATURE AND CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURES, AND THEY INDICATED NORMAL THROUGHOUT THE OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATIONS. THEY MADE THE DECISION TO CLIMB TO 10,500 FEET AS A PRECAUTION. THE OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR FINALLY STABILIZED TO NORMAL. APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES LATER THEY HEARD A POP FROM THE ENGINE, AND RPMS REDUCED FROM 2,200 TO APPROXIMATELY 1,300. PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY DUE TO LOW ENGINE POWER AND HAD TO MAKE A OFF AIRPORT LANDING APPROXIMATELY 23 MILES EAST OF PGA.

RECEIVED AN EMAIL ON 11/12/2024 FROM THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATING THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN DETERMINED A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY DUE TO THE AIRCRAFT BEING FLIPPED OVER BY HIGH WINDS PRIOR TO RECOVERY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
