## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 10/03/2024 A PA-28-161 WAS IN CRUISE FLIGHT WHEN THE ENGINE FAILED FOUR MILES NORTH OF KOBE DUE TO THE NUMBER FOUR CYLINDER VALVE COVER MISSING FIVE OUT OF THE SIX ATTATCHMENT SCREWS. THE LOOSE VALVE COVER ALLOWED THE ROCKER SHAFT TO MIGRATE APPROXIMATELY TWO INCHES FOWARD AND RESULTED IN THE EXHAUST VALVE ROCKER ASSEMBLY BECOMING DISCONNECTED. THE PILOT MADE A SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY LANDING WHICH RESULTED IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR PASSENGER.
