## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A POST FLIGHT INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, FOD DAMAGE WAS DISCOVERED ON THREE OF THE #1 PROPELLER BLADES AND VENTRAL STRAKE. AIRPORT TOWER WAS NOTIFIED. AIRPORT OPERATIONS PERFORMED A RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY SWEEP. PILOT PERFORMED A RAMP SWEEP AS WELL AS A TAXIWAY SWEEP ON TAXIWAY VICTOR. THE FOD CAUSING THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNABLE TO BE LOCATED AS THE PILOT HAD NO INDICATION AS TO WHERE EXACTLY THE AIRCRAFT ENCOUNTERED THE FOD. SWEEPS OF THE RUNWAY AND TAXIWAYS BY ADDISON AIRPORT OPERATIONS PERSONNEL REVEALED NO FOD THAT WOULD HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE EVENT. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTAINTAIL DAMAGE DUE TO THE VENTRAL STRAKE HAVING APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 INCH HOLES ON BOTH SIDES FROM WHERE THE FOD APPEARS TO HAVE PASSED THROUGH. THE THREE PROPELLER BLADES ON THE #1 ENGINE HAD 1/2 INCH GOUGES ON THE LEADING EDGES APPROXIMATELY 3 TO 4 INCHES FROM THE TIP OF THE BLADE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA020](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA020), Oct 17, 2024: Starship Enterprise (N903SC), Addison, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: Foreign object debris damage to the ventral stabilizer.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
