## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 20241018, AT APPROXIMATELY 1007 CDT, A PIPER PA-28-180 EXPERIENCED A GEAR COLLAPSE DURING THE LANDING ROLL ON RWY 05 AT HOT SPRINGS MEMORIAL FIELD, HOT SPRINGS, AR (KHOT). THE STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT THEY FELT THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRPLANE COLLAPSE ABOUT THREE SECONDS AFTER TOUCHDOWN DURING THE ROLLOUT. THIS CAUSED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OTHER THAN THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. VIDEO RECORDED BY THE SUPERVISING FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR INDICATES THE LANDING WAS A NORMAL LANDING WITH NO SIDE LOAD, BOUNCING OR PROPOSING. DAY VFR CONDITIONS EXISTED. PILOT SUSTAINED NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
