## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED AIRPORT GBR AND UPON LANDING GEAR RETRACTION, PILOT NOTICED UNUSUAL SOUND AND GEAR LIGHT INDICATIONS. PILOT CHOSE TO RECYCLE THE LANDING GEAR WITH THE SAME INDICATIONS. THE PILOT CHOSE TO DEVIATE TO KBAF AIRPORT AND PERFORMED A COUPLE OF FLYBYS SO KBAF TOWER COULD OBSERVE IF ALL LANDING GEAR WERE DOWN. TOWER ADVISED IT APPEARED THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR WAS NOT DOWN AND LOCKED. PILOT ADVISED TOWER HE WOULD LIKE TO LAND AND TOWER ADVISED THE APPROPRIATE CRASH RESCUE, AIRPORT MANAGER, ETC. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INJURIES BUT MAJOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
