## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PARAGLIDER WAS A SINGLE PARACHUTE SINGLE OCCUPANT PARAGLIDER OPERATED UNDER 14 CFR 103. IT DID NOT REQUIRE AND WAS UNREGISTERED WITH THE FAA. THE PARAGLIDER IMPACTED MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN AND WAS CONSUMED BY FIRE. THE OPERATOR RECEIVED FATAL INJURIES. THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE PARAGLIDER IS UNKNOWN. IT IS UNKNOWN WHETHER THERE WERE ANY TECHNICAL OR OPERATIONAL FACTORS. THE OPERATOR DID NOT REQUIRE AN FAA CERTIFICATE FOR THE FLIGHT. NO OTHER TYPE OF FAA ISSUED AIRMAN CERTIFICATE WAS FOUND FOR THE OPERATOR. 14 CFR 103 DOES NOT HAVE ANY SPECIFIC REGULATORY PERIODIC INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PARAGLIDER. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THE AIRCRAFT WAS IN AN AIRWORTHY CONDITION. NONE OF THE FAA NINE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES ARE APPLICABLE. THERE IS NO APPLICABLE CORRECTIVE ACTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
