## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT IN PREPARATION FOR A MULTI ENGINE PRACTICAL TEST. THIS PORTION OF THE FLIGHT WAS IN THE PATTERN AT KCMA DOING TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS. ON THE THIRD TOUCH AND GO THE INSTRUCTOR TOLD THE STUDENT TO GO AND TAKEOFF. THE STUDENT ADDED POWER, RAISED THE FLAPS THEN REACHED FOR THE GEAR HANDLE AND RAISED THE LEVER UP. THE STUDENT REALIZED THE MISTAKE AND PUT THE HANDLE BACK DOWN BUT THE NOSE WHEEL RETRACTED AND THE NOSE DROPPED TO THE GROUND WITH THE PROPELLERS MAKING CONTACT WITH THE GROUND AND STOPPING. THE AIRPLANE SLID ON ITS NOSE AND CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY CENTER LINE. EVERYONE EXITED THE AIRPLANE WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
