## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT HAD A NORMAL LANDING ON RUNWAY 05L AT KTYS. UPON APPLYING BRAKES, THE PILOT STATED HE NOTICED DIFFICULTY IN STEERING THE AIRCRAFT AND THAT BRAKING WAS BECOMING LESS EFFECTIVE THAN NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIIED ONTO B4 AND TURNED LEFT ONTO TAXIWAY BRAVO. THE PILOT STATED HE COULD NOT GET THE AIRCRAFT ALIGNED WITH THE TAXIWAY CENTERLINE. THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO STEER RIGHT, AND THE TAXI SPEED INCREASED. THE PILOT STATED THE BRAKES WERE NOT EFFECTIVE IN SLOWING THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT APPLIED LEFT BRAKE AND LEFT RUDDER TO REALIGN THE AIRCRAFT ON THE TAXIWAY, BUT A RIGHT YAWING MOTION REOCURRED. THE AIRCRAFT EXITED TAXIWAY BRAVO AND ACCELERATED DOWN A GRASSY MEDIAN. THE PILOT NOTICED THE LEFT ENGINE WAS NOT RESPONDING TO THROTTLE INPUTS. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A WIND SENSOR WITH THE RIGHT WING AND RIGHT ENGINE. THE RIGHT WING SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA043](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA043), Nov 9, 2024: Cessna 310K (N143MG), Alcoa, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the left engine throttle control shaft bushing during taxi, resulting in a full asymmetric power condition and a taxiway excursion.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
