## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER DEPARTURE THE PILOT CONTACTED DEPARTURE AND REPORTED A ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE AND REQUESTED RETURN FOR LANDING. WHEN PILOT TRIED TO LAND THEY REALIZED THE SPPED WAS TOO HIGH AND OVERSHOT THE RUNWAY AND PROCEEDED A GO AROUND. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO LOOSE RPM AND THE PILOT DETERMINED THEY WOULD NOT MAKE IT BACK TO THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT SAW THE ROAD AND TRIED FOR THE SIDE TO AVOID ANY TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD WHERE THEY LANDED AND PROCEEDED INTO THE TREES OF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
