## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, DIAMOND DA-42, WAS ON AN IFR FLIGHT WITH A CFI AND A STUDENT PILOT, WHO WAS FLYING THE AIRCRAFT. DURING AN RNAV PRACTICE APPROACH TO RWY 23 AT P08, THE GEAR WAS NEVER EXTENDED INTO THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION AND THIS WAS NOT NOTICED BY THE INSTRUCTOR. ON THE LANDING FLAIR AS THE AIRCARFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY THE CFI REALIZED THAT THE PROPS WERE STRIKING THE SURFACE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS ALLOWED SETTLE ONTO TO THE RUNWAY AND IT SLID TO A STOP, DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO BOTH PROPELLERS AND THE BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
