## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE STUDENT'S INITIAL SOLO FLIGHT, THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DURING THE SECOND TOUCH AND GO LANDING. THE STUDENT LANDED LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE, APPLIED AGGRESSIVE THROTTLE TO INITIATE A GO AROUND. INSUFFICIENT OR INCORRECT CONTROL INPUTS CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER FURTHER LEFT. WHILE AIRBORNE, THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH A RUNWAY SIGN. THE STUDENT CUT THE THROTTLE THEN LANDED AND VEERED OFF INTO THE GRASS NEXT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.
