## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 12/14/2024 AIRCRAFT ONE WITH AN INSTRUCTOR/ PIC AND A STUDENT ON BOARD BEGAN TAXIING FROM THE FUEL STATION TO RUNWAY 6 FOR TAKEOFF. WHILE TAXIING, AIRPLANE ONE VEERED TO THE RIGHT OF THE TAXI WAY INTO AIRCRAFT TWO. AIRCRAFT TWO WAS NOT MOVING AT THE TIME, BUT THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING AND PROPELLER TURNING. THE LEADING EDGE OF AIRCRAFT ONE'S RIGHT WING STRUCK THE PROPELLER OF AIRPLANE TWO RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT ONE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA092](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA092), Dec 14, 2024: Cessna 172M (N9137H), Englishtown, NJ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The high wing airplane flight crew’s failure to maintain directional control while taxiing, which resulted in a collision with the stationary low wing airplane.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
