## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A ROUTINE AIRMAN EXAMINATION FOR ADDED RATING AND DURING AN SIMULATED ENGINE OUT PROCEDURE IN THE TRAFFIC PATTERN THE PILOT CIRCLED THE PATEREN WITH ONE ENGINE AND FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. THE PILOT TURNED BASE LEG AND FINAL LEG ALSO WITHOUT LOWERING THE LANDING GEAR. PILOT AND EXAMINER CAME TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY AND EXITED THAT AIRCRAFT. PILOT AND EXAMINER STATES THAT HE DID NOT HEAR THE GEAR WARING HORN. BOTH PILOTS WERE WEARING ANR HEADSETS AT THE TIME. GEAR WARNING HORN NOT WIRED THROUGH THE AUDIO PANEL OR INTERCOM.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA083](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA083), Dec 19, 2024: Beech B95A (N755RP), Murray, KY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to lower the landing gear before touchdown, which resulted in a gear-up landing. Contributing was the designated pilot examiner’s inadequate monitoring and lack of remedial action.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
