## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 1125EST ON 10 JANUARY 2025, THE FLIGHT WAS HOLDING AT SPOT 20 WHEN THE CREW NOTICED SMOKE AND AN ELECTRICAL SMELL FROM THE CIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL BEHIND THE FIRST OFFICER. THE FLIGHT CREW SECURED THE ENGINES AND APU AND INSTRUCTED THE FLIGHT ATTENDANTS TO EVACUATE THE AIRCRAFT. THE EVACUATION WAS COMPLETED USING THE L1 AND L2 DOOR SLIDES AND RESULTED IN NO INJURIES TO CREW OR PASSENGERS. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE DIODES INSIDE THE #2 GENERATOR CONTROL UNIT HAD SHORTED. NO OTHER ANOMALIES WERE FOUND AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
