## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 14, 2025, WHILE CONDUCTING AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS, THE HELICOPTER HIT A POWER LINE WITH ITS MAIN ROTOR BLADE WHILE FLYING AT A LOW ALTITUDE EN ROUTE TO REFILL ITS HOPPER, RESULTING IN A CRASH. THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE AIRCRAFT, AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE HELICOPTER WAS DESTROYED IN THE ACCIDENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA078](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA078), Jan 14, 2025: Bell 206A (N6255N), Lemoore, CA, destroyed. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain clearance from power lines while maneuvering at a low altitude.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
