## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/16/2025 AT APPROXIMATELY 1906 LOCAL TIME A BEECHCRAFT N35 BEARING REGISTRATION ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED DURING A FORCED LANDING WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 22 AT THE HALE COUNTY AIRPORT. AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST UPRIGHT ON AN APPROXIMATE HEADING OF 261 DEGREES. DURING THE ROLLOUT THE NOSE GEAR AND RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED AFTER CONTACTING A STREET CURB. TWO PERSONS WERE ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT WHICH WAS REGISTERED TO A PRIVATE CORPORATION. THE PRIVATE RATED PILOT AND ONE PASSENGER WERE UNINJURED. WEATHER AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT WAS REPORTING VFR CONDITIONS WITH WINDS FROM THE SOUTHWEST. THE PILOT IN COMMAND REPORTED THAT ON FINAL APPROACH A FORWARD SLIP WAS CONDUCTED AND WHEN THROTTLE WAS INCREASED TO COMPENSATE FOR SLOWING AIRSPEED THERE WAS NO ENGINE RESPONSE RESULTING IN A FORCED OFF AIRFIELD LANDING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA082](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA082), Jan 17, 2025: Beech N35 (N1206Z), Plainview, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: Fuel starvation due to fuel migration during the pilot induced slipping maneuver.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
