## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 17, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 1153 HOURS, A CESSNA 337 AIRCRAFT WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT DURING THE LANDING PHASE AT KGEO. THE PILOT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE RUNWAY AND BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THERE MIGHT BE ICE, ELECTED TO DESCEND BELOW THE PUBLISHED GLIDE SLOPE OF THE PRECISION APPROACH PATH INDICATOR (PAPI) TO LAND AT THE END OF RUNWAY 18.

THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK AN APPROXIMATELY 24-INCH-TALL SNOWBANK AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THIS IMPACT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO SLIDE DOWN THE RUNWAY, EVENTUALLY EXITING THE LEFT SIDE AND COMING TO REST IN THE GRASS APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET EAST OF THE PAVEMENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
