## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC DEPARTED BAZ IN ROUTE TO GTU. PIC CLIMBED TO 6000 ASL WITH AUTOPILOT STILL OFF. PIC ADJUSTED THE MANUAL OVERHEAD TRIM WHEN HE HEARD A POP IN THE CABIN AND THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO PULL NOSE DOWN. HE ATTEMPED TO MAKE FURTHER ADJUSTMENTS BUT WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN LEVEL ALTITUDE WITH ONE HAND. PIC STATED HE WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AS LONG AS HE KEPT BOTH HANDS ON THE CONTROL WHEEL. HE CONTACTED AUS TOWER AND DECLARED HIS INTENTION TO GO TO GTU. ON APPROACH TO GTU, HE PUT THE LANDING GEAR LEVER IN THE GEAR DOWN POSITION BUT, GEAR WARNING HORN SOUNDED. HE CONDUCTED A FLYBY WITH GTU TOWER AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THE GEAR WAS NOT EXTEND. PIC WAS UNABLE TO REACH GEAR EMERGENCY EXTEND HANDLE AS HE WAS NOT ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL IF HE MOVED HANDS FROM CONTROL WHEEL. HE LANDED 'GEAR UP' NEXT TO RUNWAY 36. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE AIRCRAFT DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT IS DETERMINED TO BE MINOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
