## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 25, 2025 ABOUT 1140 HAWAII TIME, A CESSNA 172S WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT, WITHOUT SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND WITHOUT INJURIES, AT KALAELOA AIRPORT (JRF) DUE TO A HARD LANDING.

SOLO STUDENT PILOT ATTEMPTED 2 PRACTICE LANDINGS AT RUNWAY 4L, WHICH RESULTED IN GO AROUNDS. THE THIRD LANDING ATTEMPT RESULTED IN A BOUNCE INTO A HARD LANDING AND THE NOSE WHEEL ASSEMBLY SEPARATED FROM THE AIRPLANE. THE AIRPLANE SKIDDED AND STOPPED AT THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 4L.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
