## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 27, 2025, A LUSCOMBE LL-8-E, INCURRED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT AT THE BRUSH MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (7V5). AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND AT ABOUT 30 KNOTS DURING THE ROLLOUT, THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. THIS RESULTED IN THE LEFT WINGTIP IMPACTING THE GROUND. THE NOSE IMPACTED THE GROUND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE LEFT WING, WHICH CAUSED THE TAIL OF THE AIRCRAFT TO GO UP. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON ITS NOSE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA089](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA089), Jan 27, 2025: Luscombe 8E (N1739K), Brush, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the left main landing gear forward strut.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
