## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 13, 2025 AT ~1050 MST, THE PIC OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LOADED ONTO THE AIRCRAFT OUTSIDE OF A RECENTLY BUILT HANGER THE PIC OWNED. SHORTLY AFTER LIFTING OFF, A WINDOW FELL FROM THE HANGER INTO THE ROTATING BLADES RESULTING IN A LOSS OF LIFT. THE AIRCRAFT FELL SEVERAL FEET CAUSING THE RIGHT SKID TO COLLAPSE ON IMPACT. THE IMPACT OF THE WINDOW CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE ROTORCRAFT BLADE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS OPERATING IN TOO CLOSE OF PROXIMITY TO THE STRUCTURE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA093](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA093), Feb 13, 2025: Airbus Helicopters EC 130 T2 (N3WL), Moab, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The inflight collision with debris during takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
