## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE CERTIFICATED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR WITH A STUDENT PILOT IN THE LEFT SEAT TAXIED SOUTH ON BRAVO TAXIWAY TO THE SOUTHWEST RUNUP AREA FOR RUNWAY 04 AT LYNCHBURG REGIONAL AIRPORT AND WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A PEDAL TURN IN THE RUNUP AREA TO CHANGE AIRCRAFT HEADING , LEFT THE HARD/IMPROVED SURFACE, STRUCK AND DAMAGED A TAXIWAY LIGHT, ENCURRED A MINOR DENT TO THE LANDING STRUT FAIRING, AND BECAME STUCK IN THE MUD. GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT TOWED THE AIRCRAFT OUT OF THE MUD BACK TO THE HANGAR. NO INJURIES TO CREW.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
