## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 16, 2025, AT 2247(LOCAL), A CE-172N, OPERATED BY A LOCAL FLIGHT SCHOOL, CRASHED A LITTLE OVER 1400 FEET OFF THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 32 AND PEARLAND REGIONAL (LVJ) FROM FUEL EXHAUSTION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA099](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA099), Feb 17, 2025: Cessna 172N (N2913E), Pearland, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s poor flight planning and decision making, which resulted in a loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion.

## Other reports on N2913E (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19801025076119I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19801025076119I), Oct 25, 1980: Cessna 172 (N2913E), Alvin, TX. Pilot made precautionary landing when engine started running rough. No cause found.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
