## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 2/20/2025 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:09 PM A 1968 CESSNA 177A EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF POWER AND MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING INTO A POND, 5 MILES NORTH OF PLEASANTON KS.

THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE, ONE SOUL ON BOARD AND NO INJURIES REPORTED.

INVESTIGATION FOUND WATER IN THE FUEL FILTER MOUNTED ON THE ENGINE FIREWALL. IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT AN INCORRECT ALCOHOL SOLUTION WAS ADDED BY THE PILOT PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. THIS WAS DUE TO IMPROPER COMPANY COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE FUEL ADDITIVE.
