## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 8,2025 A DIAMOND DA-42 DEPARTED SARASOTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON A TRAINING FLIGHT WITH A COMMERCIAL MULTIENGINE STUDENT AND FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR. AFTER AN HOUR OF PRACTICING ENGINE OUT PROCEDURES. THE DA-42 STARTED TO PRACTICE LANDINGS AT WAUCHULA MUNICIPAL. THE STUDENT BECAME OVERWHELMED AND FORGOT TO SELECT THE LANDING GEAR IN THE DOWN POSITION. THE CFI ON BOARD DID NOT CORRECT THE STUDENT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 WITH THE GEAR IN THE UP POSITION. THE STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR SECURED THE AIRCRAFT AND EXITED THE DA-42 WITH NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT HAD MINOR DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
