## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WHILE PICKING UP PASSENGERS AT KIND, TOOK ON TOO MUCH FUEL DURING REFUEL OPERATIONS, WHICH PUT THE AIRCRAFT IN AN OVERWEIGHT CONDITION. THE PILOT PLANNED TO BURN OFF EXCESS FUEL WHILE TAXIING BY APPLYING THE BRAKES AND ADDING ADDITIONAL POWER TO THE ENGINES. WHILE PREPARING FOR FINAL TAKEOFF, SMOKE WAS NOTICED COMING FROM BELOW THE LEFT WING. THE PILOT IN COMMAND INITIATED AN EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN, AND THE PILOTS AND PASSENGERS EVACUATED THE AIRCRAFT. EMERGENCY CREWS RESPONDED AND EXTINGUISHED A SMALL FIRE THAT HAS STARTED NEAR THE LEFT BRAKE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
