## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED A THROTTLE CONTROL PROBLEM ON THE CLIMB OUT FOLLOWED BY LOSS OF POWER (FLIGHT IDLE POWER). ON THE EMERGENCY RETURN TO THE AIRFIELD, AIRPLANE OVERRUN RWY 6 AND CRASHED INTO AIRPORT FENCE. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO FLIGHT CONTROLS (RUDDERVATOR), BOTH LEADING EDGES OF THE WING, FLAPS, NOSE RADOME, NOSE LANDING GEAR DOORS AND WINDSHIELD. NO OBVIOUS DEFECTS WERE FOUND TO EXPLAIN THE POWER LOSS. AIRCRAFT REQUIRES FURTHER INSPECTION TO DETERMINE CAUSE WHICH THE NTSB WILL PERFORM.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA155](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA155), Mar 24, 2025: Cirrus Design SF50 (N56GY), Kissimmee, FL, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
