## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 3/28/2025 N641PS DEPARTED NAPA COUNTY AIRPORT (KAPC) AT APPROXIMATELY 1520 LOCAL TIME ON AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT UNDER VISUAL FLIGHT RULES (VFR) IN VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (VMC). AFTER COMPLETING PRACTICE MANEUVERS WITH THE STUDENT, THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) RETURNED TO KAPC FOR LANDING PRACTICE ON RUNWAY 24. DISTRACTED BY ENSURING THAT THE STUDENT MAINTAINED POSITIVE AIRCRAFT CONTROL DURING APPROACH TO LANDING, PIC FAILED TO NOTICE THAT THE STUDENT HAD NOT SELECTED GEAR TO THE DOWN POSITION. AS THE AIRCRAFT ROUNDED OUT THE FLARE TO LAND, THE GEAR AND FLAP HORNS SOUNDED JUST AS THE PROPELLERS STRUCK THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED TO A STOP ON ITS BELLY THROUGH FRICTION WITH THE RUNWAY SURFACE. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT DISCOVERED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BELLY SKIN OF THE AIRCRAFT. DAMAGE TO PROPELLERS AND PILOT STATEMENT CONSISTENT WITH ENGINES RUNNING AT THE TIME OF LANDING. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE RECORDS FOUND NO REGULATORY CONCERNS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
