## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT MADE 9 SUCCESSFUL LANDINGS ON RWY 11 (A GRASS RUNWAY) AT KFBY. DURING THE 10TH LANDING OF THE FLIGHT, WHICH WAS ON RWY 17 (A CONCRETE RWY) AT KFBY, THE PILOT DID NOT MAINTAIN RUNWAY ALIGNMENT DURING ROLLOUT. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, RESULTING IN SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN25LA150](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN25LA150), Apr 6, 2025: Silvaire 8F (N9926C), Fairbury, NE, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control while landing and the flight instructors delayed remedial action.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
