## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRPLANE RECEIVED AT LIMA, PERU ITS DAILY CHECK. IT HAD NO MAINTENANCE ISSUES BEFORE DEPARTING TO ATL. FLIGHT CREW CONDUCTED THE PREFLIGHT/WALKAROUND WITHOUT ANY ISSUES.

AS PER THE FLIGHT CREW IT WAS A NORMAL LANDING WITH AUTOBRAKES SELECTED TO 3 ON A DRY RUNWAY. AT ABOUT 110 KIAS THE CAPTAIN DECIDED TO TRANSITION TO MANUAL BRAKES, AT THAT MOMENT THEY FELT THAT THE AIRPLANE DID A SLIGHT PULL TO THE RIGHT. SHORTLY AFTER THAT ATC REPORTED THAT THEY OBSERVED A TIRE BURST ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE AIRPLANE AND SENT THE FIRE TRUCKS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS INSTRUCTED TO HOLD ITS POSITION AT TAXIWAY N. IT WAS DECIDED BY THE CREW TO DEPLANE AT THE TAXIWAY AND BUS THE PASSENGER TO THE TERMINAL. TIRES 5 AND 6 WERE REPLACED. ACTUALLY, ONLY 1 TIRE (#5) DID BURST. THE OTHER TIRE APPEARED TO BE DEFLATED, BUT IT ONLY LOOKED “LOW” DUE TO THE WEIGHT LOAD ON THE REMAINING TIRES ON THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
