## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

BIRD WAS NOT OBSERVED PRIOR TO IMPACT. STRIKE WAS FIRST NOTICED BY A LOUD BANG AND AIR FLOWING THROUGH THE COCKPIT. AFTER REALIZING THAT IT WAS A BIRD STRIKE, CREW LANDED BACK AT THE NEAREST AIRPORT SAFELY AND SHUT DOWN TO INSPECT FOR DAMAGE. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT NOTED THAT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE WINDSCREEN WAS DAMAGED FROM BIRD INTRUSION. THERE WAS ALSO A DENT NOTED ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE INSTURMENT PANEL. OPERATOR SUBMITTED FAA FORM 5200-7

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
