## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 17, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 1830 THE PILOT OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A PA28-181 ARCHER, OVER ROTATED DURING THE LANDING FLARE WHICH CAUSE THE AIRCRAFT TO LIFT MORE THAN EXPECTED FOLLOWED BY AN ABRUPT DECENT ONTO THE NOSE GEAR COMPRESSING THE NOSE WHEEL TO THE EXTENT THE PROP WAS STRUCK. THE PILOT CONDUCTED A POST FLIGHT WALK-AROUND TO CHECK FOR ANY DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF THE HARD LANDING. THE PILOT DID NOT NOTICE THE SLIGHTLY BENT PROPELLER TIP.

ON APRIL 18, 2025, DURING PREFLIGHT OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, THE INSTRUCTOR REPORTED TO THE CHIEF INSTRUCTOR THE DAMAGED PROPELLER WHO INTERN NOTIFIED THE POI/FSDO. WEATHER CONDITIONS WERE VFR AND NOT A FACTOR. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR OR ANY OTHER PORTIONS OF THE AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
