## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 19, 2025, AT 0945 LOCAL TIME THE AIRCRAFT TOOK FLIGHT FROM 01CL AND HEADED PVF. THE PILOT RECEIVED WEATHER INFORMATION FROM PVF AWOS ON 128.125 WHICH REPORTED WINDS TO BE 6 KNOTS FROM 160. THE PILOT'S OBSERVATION OF THE WINDSOCK INDICATED 9 KNOTS FROM 160. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN AT 0950 ON RUNWAY 23 APPROXIMATELY 530 FT FROM THE RUNWAY NUMBERS. DURING ROLLOUT THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TURNING LEFT BECAUSE OF THE CROSS WIND. APPROXIMATELY 1130 FT FROM THE RUNWAY NUMBERS THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY 23 TO THE SOUTH. THE RIGHT-HAND MAIN LANDING GEAR STRUCK A BERM CAUSING IT TO SEPARATE FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND AS THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN DESCENDED DOWN AN EMBANKMENT. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLOWED THE TAIL SWUNG AROUND AND THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE EMBANKMENT BACKWARDS UNTIL IT CAME TO REST IN A DRY DRAINAGE DITCH. THE AIRCRAFT WAS APPROXIMATELY 130 FT FROM RUNWAY 23 CENTERLINE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA140](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA140), Apr 19, 2025: Cessna 150 (N6682S), Placerville, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control while landing with a crosswind.

## Other reports on N6682S (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19820114000679I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820114000679I), Jan 14, 1982: Cessna 150H (N6682S), Placerville, CA, Minor damage. Student veered off runway, hit ditch, nose wheel collapsed, aircraft nosed over, inverted.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
