## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE OS IMMEDIATELY ACTIVATED THE CRASH PHONE, REPORTING THAT A KING AIR APPEARED TO BE ON FIRE AT THE FBO, WITH FLAMES VISIBLE AROUND THE AIRCRAFT AND PERSONNEL ACTIVELY ATTEMPTING TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE USING PORTABLE EXTINGUISHERS. THE OS SUBSEQUENTLY CONTACTED THE FBO TO OBTAIN ADDITIONAL DETAILS. THE INDIVIDUAL STATED THAT DURING ENGINE

START, A LOUD EXPLOSION OCCURRED FROM THE AIRCRAFT' S RIGHT ENGINE, WHICH RESULTED IN A FIRE THAT QUICKLY SPREAD AROUND THE AIRCRAFT. FBO OERSONNEL RESPONDED IMMEDIATELV AND USED FIRE EXTINRUISHERS TO CONTAIN AND SUPRESS THE FLAMES.

DAMAGE LIMITED TO RIGHT ENGINE AND NACELLE. BLACK SOOT DEPOSITS ON WING AND SOME FUSELAGE, BUT NO DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
