## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PIC HAD NOT FLOWN A TAIL DRAGGER AIRPLANDE PRIOR TO PURCHASING THIS AIRCRAFT JUST WEEKS BEFORE. THE PILOT COMPLETED 21 HOURS TOTAL, IN THIS AIRCRAFT, BETWEEN TRAINING, TAILDRAGGER ENDORSEMENT AND THE FERRY FLIGHT HOME, FOUR DAY PRIOR.

THIS WAS THE FIRST PATTERN AND LANDING OF THE DAY FOR THIS PILOT SENSE RETURNING HOME WTH THE NEWLY AQUIRED TAILDRAGGER AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT NOW FLYING WITHOUT A CFI OR PASSANGER ON BOARD, AFTER LANDING, ON THE ROLL OUT, ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO BE TOO NOSE DOWN, ALLOWING THE PROP STRIKE THE RUNWAY. AFTER THE PROP STRIKE THE PILOT EXITED ACTIVE RUNWAY ONTO THE CROSSING RUNWAY WHERE THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED TO AN FBO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
