## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WINDS AT THE TIME WERE APPROXIMATELY 200–230° AT 8–10 KNOTS. THE LATEST ATIS, INFORMATION JULIET, REPORTED WINDS FROM 230° AT 8 KNOTS. WHILE LANDING ON RUNWAY 28R AT KMYF, AIRMAN REPORTED HE MAINTAINED A STABILIZED APPROACH ON CENTERLINE WITH FULL FLAPS AND REDUCED THROTTLE TO IDLE. HE TOUCHED DOWN IN A 3-POINT ATTITUDE AT STALL SPEED. DURING ROLLOUT AND APPLIED INCORRECT CROSSWIND INPUTS (RIGHT CROSSWIND CORRECTION), WHICH ALLOWED THE WIND TO LIFT THE LEFT WING. THE AIRCRAFT WEATHERVANED INTO THE WIND AND ENTERED A GROUND LOOP TO THE LEFT, RESULTING IN THE RIGHT WINGTIP CONTACTING THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST LEFT OF CENTERLINE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR25LA150](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR25LA150), May 3, 2025: Cub Crafters CC19-180 (N508XC), San Diego, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
