## Narrative

THE AIRCRAFT WAS ON AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN FROM WJF TO CMA. THE PILOT RECEIVED A CLEARANCE FROM ATC TO FLY THE RNAV (GPS) Z RWY 26 APPROACH INTO CMA. THE AIRCRAFT FLEW SOUTHBOUND TOWARDS JUREX (IF) AND WAS INSTRUCTED BY SOCAL APP TO DESCEND TO 4000' AND CONTACT MUGU APP. APPROX. 2 NM NORTH OF JUREX THE AIRCRAFT STARTED A SHALLOW RIGHT TURN FOLLOWED BY A SHARP ENTRY INTO A 180 DEGREES HEADING CHANGE, FOLLOWED BY WHAT SEEMS LIKE A LEFT SPIRAL TO THE WEST WHICH ENDED IN A HIGH-SPEED IMPACT WITH THE GROUND AT 1348.
