## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PRACTICING TOUCH AND GOS AT ROCK HILL AIRPORT, THE TRAFFIC PATTERN BECAME INCREASINGLY BUSY. WHILE THERE WAS A SLOWER AIRCRAFT AHEAD OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, AS WELL AS ANOTHER AIRCRAFT BEHIND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^THAT ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN ON THE DOWNWIND. THE PILOT BEGAN THEIR "GUMPS" CHECKLIST AND EXTENDED THE FLAPS. THE PILOT STATED THEY WERE CONCERNED ABOUT STAYING CLEAR OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE 2 NM NORTH OF THE FIELD AS WELL AS MAINTAINING SEPARATION FROM THE OTHER AIRCRAFT IN THE PATTERN. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT AHEAD OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ANNOUNCED THEY WOULD BE A FULL-STOP LANDING, THE PILOT OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ BECAME FOCUSED ON SPACING BETWEEN THE TWO AIRPLANES. AS A RESULT OF THIS FIXATION, THE PILOT OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^FAILED TO COMPLETE THE REMAINDER OF THE "GUMPS" CHECKLIST AND LANDED WITH THE GEAR RETRACTED.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19930707026339I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930707026339I), Jul 7, 1993: Beech F33A (N3144M), Tuscaloosa, AL, Minor damage. Electrical failure en route. Landed on taxiway parallel to runway. Left main gear collapsed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
