## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 5/24/2025 AT APPROXIMATELY 1634 EST, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OPERATING AS FLIGHT UA 702, GENERAL EDWARD LAWRENCE LOGAN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BOS) - DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (DEN) STRUCK A BIRD ON TAKEOFF AT APPROXIMATELY 1000 FT. THE FLIGHT CREW EVALUATED THE CONDITION OF THE AIRCRAFT BEFORE DECLARING EMERGENCY AND REQUESTED VECTORS BACK TO KBOS. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. EMERGENCY CREW EVALUATED THE AIRCRAFT AND DEEMED IT SAFE TO AND SECURE TO TAXI TO THE GATE. THE PASSENGER AND CREW DEPLANED VIA JET BRIDGE AT THE GATE AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
