## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE WAS DESCENDING INTO ITH AT APPROXIMATELY 4,500 AGL. HE STATED HE STRUCK SOMETHING WITH THE PROPELLER AND INSTANTLY THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO VIBRATE. HE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND WAS ABLE TO LAND SAFELY AT ITH. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ PROVIDED PHOTOS OF PROP DAMAGE. DAMAGE TO PROP WAS DEFINITIVELY NOT CAUSED FROM A WILDLIFE STRIKE. NO PARTS WERE MISSING FROM THE AIRCRAFT. PROPELLER DAMAGE (SLICES, GOUGES) WAS CONSISTENT WITH STRIKING A HARD, INANIMATE OBJECT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
