## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 0115 A MECHANIC WAS WORKING ON A PIPER ARCHER. AFTER ADJUSTING THE IDLE THE MECHANIC STARTED THE AIRCRAFT TO VERIFY THE IDLE SETTING BUT NEGLECTED TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE AND DID NOT FEEL THE AIRCRAFT MOVING THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS PAST THE TAXI LINE IN THE PARKING AREA OF THE RAMP AND APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT COULD NOT PREVENT THE PIPER FROM COLLIDING WITH A PIPER SEMINOLE THAT WAS PARKED INFRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT , THERE WERE NOT INJURIES BUT WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO BOTH AIRCRAFT. THE NTSB WILL NOT BE INVESTIGATING THIS INCIDENT

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
