## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED PRIVATE GRASS STRIP NEAR FOREMAN SC. DESTINATION WAS RIDGELAND (3J1). EVERYTHING WENT AS NORMAL DURING FLIGHT AND ON THE FINAL APPROACH. HOWEVER, UPON INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE GROUND, AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL, AIRPLANE GROUND LOOPED 180 DEGREES. AIRCRAFT TIPPED UP ON RIGHT WING AND HORIZONTAL STAB. NO INJURIES TO EITHER OCCUPANT. THERE WERE NO DAMAGES TO THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA25LA374](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA25LA374), Jun 7, 2025: Flying Cloud AL18 (N859SS), Ridgeland, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
