## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS DEPARTING RUNWAY 23. APPROXIMATELY 7 KNOTS BELOW ROTATION SPEED, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT. THE PILOT STATED HE ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED MOVING TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT THEN ABORTED THE TAKEOFF, BUT WAS UNABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT, AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY INTO THE GRASS. THE PILOT BELIEVED THE WIND WAS STRAIGHT DOWN THE RUNWAY, HOWEVER THE AWOS REPORTED THAT WINDS WERE 270@10G18.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
